The engine finds pages that mention and link to your competitors, classifies each by link type (resource page, guest post, press, directory, partner), and ranks domains that link to several competitors first — those are your strongest prospects.
Imported rows are treated as provider data and labeled as such. Without an import, results are search-discovered mentions — useful, but not a complete backlink profile.

How the scoring works — and what this tool refuses to fake
Discovery queries only nominate candidates. Each candidate page is then fetched and read, and the score is built from evidence on the page itself — every card shows its four factors, the literal phrases that prove the opportunity, and a recommended action. Relevance (30): your keyword in the page title and content, language match, topical markers. Feasibility (30): a confirmed submission invitation, a public contact email, a form, a true resource-page structure. Quality (20): alive, HTTPS, real content depth, sane outbound-link profile, no spam signals. Value (20): .edu authority, confirmation across several bundle groups, competitor overlap, confirmed dead links you can replace. Paid-placement signals, reciprocal-link schemes and spam markers subtract a visible risk penalty. What we never do: invent Domain Rating/Authority numbers, present search results as a complete backlink profile, or call an unverified lead a confirmed opportunity — unverified prospects carry an “Evidence: low” label, and government portals are score-capped because they essentially never accept pitches.
